Our client is seeking an experienced
Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager
to join our dynamic tax team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing Federal and State income tax returns prepared by our team of dedicated tax professionals. You will provide recommendations to enhance income tax return processes and identify tax planning opportunities, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Review Federal and State income tax returns prepared by the tax team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Identify opportunities to improve tax return preparation processes and implement best practices.
Assist in the preparation and review of complex corporate tax returns.
Collaborate with local finance contacts across the U.S. to obtain and analyze financial data supporting tax calculations.
Research and provide guidance on various Federal and State tax matters.
Utilize
OneSource
tax software for tax return preparation, processing, and research.
Review and coordinate the preparation and filing of quarterly income tax estimates and extensions.
Review and prepare documentation related to mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
Ensure timely filing and review of
FBAR, 1042, 1099, and 1120F
tax filings.
Mentor and supervise junior tax professionals, providing training, guidance, and professional development support.
Work cross-functionally with global teams to support tax planning and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;
Certification: CPA or MST certification preferred.
Experience: 6–10 years of progressive corporate tax experience, including compliance and review responsibilities.
Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm highly desired.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in OneSource Income Tax software preferred.
Advanced Excel and strong overall technology skills required.
Leadership: Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and organizational abilities; capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
