Job Description As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol Driving Role in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional at an education-focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure campus environment. Your presence and regular patrols will provide reassurance to students, staff, and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating company vehicles as part of your patrol duties.

What You'll Do
Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the educational location and its perimeter to deter unwanted activity and observe potential issues.
Communicate with students, faculty, staff, and visitors in a professional manner while carrying out patrol duties.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
Assist with access control and monitor entry points to deter unauthorized access within the educational environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
