Security Officer Duties A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The officer will be knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

Flex Officer Explanation The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. A Flex Officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations Flex Officers are trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks, this will not be a permanent assignment. Schedules will vary based on operational need. You will be assigned shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.

Short‑notice call‑ins: You are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of shifts could negatively impact your employment status.

Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent.

Equal Opportunity Employer We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and supporter of our military veterans!
