LSPACE
Overview
As the Women’s Merchandiser, you will help to develop, create, and drive key assortment strategies aimed at elevating and propelling the LSPACE brand forward. An expert on trend, the competitive landscape, and whitespace in the marketplace, you will help take the lead on building assortments with a customer first mindset. Your role will be expected to deliver business results, in creating a product selection that meets financial plans and sell through goals. A key cross functional partner, you will work heavily with design and production on developing an assortment that meets deadlines, cost targets, and margin goals. This position will also work alongside a planning counterpart to ensure KPI’s are met, and inventory is healthy/productive in order to support sales plans. You will work directly with, and in support of, the director of merchandising to honor all segments of the business while protecting the wholistic identity of LSPACE. This role will report directly into the Director of Merchandising Responsibilities
Create seasonal and annual strategies for Women’s categories that meet or exceed sales objectives, margin targets, and align with total company goals Develop and communicate seasonal line plans to guide design, product development and production in support of sku count and company strategies Merchandise and speak to seasonal product assortments that meet sales and margin targets Present seasonal product assortment to management and wholesale teams Create assortment strategies with an understanding of fabric, silhouettes, and end use with respect to storytelling and outfitting Track the current business performance in season, Identify risks and opportunities for chase Create and communicate pricing strategies that align with brand positioning and hindsight analysis of price buckets Communicate and collaborate with crossfunctional partners as the liaison between teams, ensure deliverables are met Provide thorough and meaningful analysis of channels and effectively recap management and crossfunctional partners Keep a pulse on the customer through market awareness, store visits, and consumer feedback/insights Maintain and demonstrate constant understanding of the competitive landscape Participate and help lead key business meetings throughout the product creation process Requirements
5+ years Merchandising experience (Omni and Wholesale) 2 years of leadership experience preferred selfmotivated and positive mindset Strong relationships and experience with product development, design, production and buying teams Deep knowledge of current Women’s market. Swim experience highly preferred. Thorough understanding of retail math and OTB maintenance Natural leader and problem solver with a growth mindset Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong excel skills
