The Desktop Support Technician (Mac) provides technical support and maintenance for Apple macOS systems, peripherals, and related software within the organization. This role is responsible for troubleshooting user issues, managing system configurations, and ensuring optimal performance of Mac devices in a secure and reliable IT environment. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of macOS, strong problem‑solving skills, and a passion for delivering excellent user support.
This role is fully onsite in Baltimore
Salary: $30-32/hour
Responsibilities:
Provide day‑to‑day technical support for macOS devices, including setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Install and update macOS applications and operating systems while ensuring compatibility with enterprise systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to Mac desktops, laptops, and peripherals such as printers and displays.
Assist with deployment and imaging of Mac devices using automated management tools (e.g., Jamf, Apple Business Manager).
Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability between Mac and Windows environments.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field OR equivalent work experience
3-6 years related work experience
Mac experience (Apple Certified Macintosh Technician Certification highly preferred)
$30 - $32 an hour
