Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented team member to join our Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in various accounting tasks, including recording real estate settlement journal entries, Property Management accounting, account reconciliations, loan/interest management, and assisting in period-end close processes. This role requires an understanding of accounting principles, organizational skills, a high attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of our accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Successfully audit multiple internal entities.
Prepare and post a high volume of accounting transactions on a daily basis.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions and related documents.
Effectively collaborate and communicate with internal departments to ensure successful outward facing operations.
Assist in recording accurate and timely journal entries to reflect financial transactions.
Compile and organize financial data to support the closing process; ensuring key deadlines are met.
Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Support financial statement preparation.
Assist in preparing audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in accounting‑related roles, preferably with direct experience in accounts payable, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
Prior experience related to Property Management/Real Estate accounting preferred.
Ability to process and record a high volume of transactions with accuracy and precision.
Proficiency in using Microsoft products (Office, Excel) and Google suite tools is a must.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record‑keeping.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion with sensitive financial information.
Employment Type Salaried (40+ hours per week)
Work Location In office (Mon – Fri)
Work Hours 8:30am‑5:00pm
Salary $62,000
Bonus Potential $5,000
Reports to Patrick Mukri, Assistant Controller
