Job Summary As the Controller at Gosh Enterprises, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization. You will oversee cost accounting processes, provide accurate financial insights, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and lead the financial staff on reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the accounting team and manage all aspects of accounting and finance.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including consolidated income statements, balance sheets, and cash‑flow statements.
Provide variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted costs and offer insights on cost trends.
Collaborate with department heads to create annual budgets and forecasts, track budget performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies; coordinate and support external audits.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision‑making; align financial goals with overall business objectives.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of cost accounting procedures and stay up‑to‑date with industry best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in corporate and financial accounting or related financial roles.
Restaurant industry experience preferred.
Proficiency in accounting principles, methodologies, system implementation, and software tools.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in financial analysis software (e.g., Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems).
