Scrum Master

to join a high-performing agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support a nationally significant and fast-paced program. Responsibilities

Facilitate one large, complex agile team, or several small agile teams as part of a larger Agile Release Train (ART) delivering value to the customer using SAFe. Educate and coach teams in Scrum, Scrumban, or Kanban to ensure agile processes are followed. Remove impediments/roadblocks and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement. Collaborate with team members, other Agile Scrum Masters, and support personnel to ensure commitments at Program Increment (PI) Planning are met. Facilitate horizontal communication to identify impediments and work mitigation plans. Sense, determine, and lead discussions when issues need to be analyzed or triaged, and lead improvements to processes. Maintain strong attention to detail and focus on task completion. Coordinate with Release Train Engineers to implement solutions and protect the team from scope creep during PI execution. Work with Product Owners to review and prioritize features. Lead SAFe ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews (including demos), Sprint Retrospectives, and PI Planning. Develop User Stories with Product Owners and System Engineers to meet feature acceptance criteria. Maintain information radiators and share team metrics; determine when new metrics are needed and drive improvements. Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles with the goal of continuous improvement. Observe team dynamics, recognize strengths and weaknesses, and coach the team to drive productivity improvements. Create a collaborative learning environment and explore ideas to improve delivery (e.g., pair programming and cross-functional training). Promote teamwork to achieve Sprint goals. Required Qualifications

Clearance: TS/SCI w/ FS Poly Experience as a Scrum Master for a software development or similar technical team. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or PMI-ACP or similar agile certification. Experience using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, VersionOne, Rally, IBM RTC). Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and strong time management. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment across diverse systems and groups. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least 8 years of relevant work experience (additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree). Experience with large software systems including hardware integration and testing. Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical development teams. Experience using SAFe as the agile development methodology. Experience driving organizational change toward agile adoption. Experience applying test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to achieve built-in quality by the team. Experience using Kanban to improve flow in support teams. Benefits
