Job Summary
Zen is looking for a Mid-Level System Administrator to manage and maintain systems and infrastructure, ensuring systems run efficiently, securely, and reliably. This role involves administering servers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, implementing updates and backups, and supporting user access and network operations. The ideal candidate for this position possesses strong technical skills in Windows/Linux environments, proven performance supporting systems administration in a cybersecurity role, and a proactive approach to system performance and security. The Mid-Level System Administrator is expected to work independently on routine tasks and projects, with periodic check-ins from their manager or team lead.
Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud infrastructure
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, and networks
Install and configure security software and hardware
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and other identity platforms
Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups
Provide expertise in problem solving and troubleshooting for operating systems, applications, and networking
Support endpoint management, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
Collaborate with engineering and networking support, and security teams to implement best practices and compliance standards
Document system configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions - Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution
