Overview The Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto Insurance) drives profitable growth by attracting new business and retaining customers through in‑person visits, marketing calls, and community relationships. The role sells a range of products—including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance—to walk‑in and outbound prospects, promoting continued growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Generate new customer leads and cross‑sell existing customers to support product offerings.

Build rapport and trust with clients, understanding their needs to close sales.

Maintain and expand a book of business within the assigned market/retail location.

Market products outside the office via calls and in‑person visits, establishing community relationships.

Initiate outbound calls to an established target customer base for product offerings.

Monitor local market competitors and provide actionable insights to improve market position.

Collaborate with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes.

Track and report sales metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance, ensuring compliance with all rules and procedures.

Handle customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer reports.

Qualifications

0-2 years of sales experience.

P&C licensing (preferred) or ability to obtain required licensure within 90 days of joining.

Strong closing skills for insurance and ancillary products.

Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention.

Active community presence to build a sales pipeline and referral sources.

Ability to work collaboratively with the sales leadership team.

Effective outbound calling to target customer base.

Market awareness and proactive competition monitoring.

Strong understanding of company underwriting guidelines and policy changes.

Excellent customer service and financial transaction handling.

Compensation

Unlicensed Candidates: $17.50 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Licensed Candidates: $20.00 per hour based on active required license and minimum 6 months of P&C sales experience.

In addition to base pay, total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
