Description:

Come join Lockheed Martin Space’s Sensing Systems Analysis Team!

OVERVIEW Leave your mark on critical national security products by shaping resiliency mission concepts and ensuring seamless coordination across component and vehicle interfaces. Your efforts will influence system evolution, produce documentation that formalizes multi-party agreements, and ensure our space vehicles not only meet—but exceed—their mission objectives.

We are seeking a versatile mid-career engineer with demonstrated success and passion for tackling design and complex system integration challenges spanning hardware, software, satellite, and operational mission domains. Unafraid of technical or programmatic challenges, you thrive on collaboration, creative problem‑solving, and rapid course correction. You’re curious, goal-oriented, and tenacious—equally adept at assembling the existing pieces and creating the missing ones to complete the puzzle.

You’ll face a range of technical challenges, solving them within coupled constraints and competing priorities, while clearly communicating your findings and recommendations. You’ll work in a collaborative environment alongside experts who will provide context, mentorship, and shared commitment to making the impossible possible. We seek someone like us—mission-driven, innovative, and relentless in advancing the future of our product line.

What does this role look like? As a Resiliency and Mission Analysis Engineer, you will lead technology integration across national asset hardware systems with a focus on holistic mission success. Responsibilities include:

Own space vehicle-level resiliency requirements, verification planning, and implementation

Evaluate design solutions and operational test scenarios aligned to mission use cases

Engage cross-discipline stakeholders within the program and Lockheed Martin to achieve mission objectives

Collaborate with subcontractors, customers, and external partners to develop and deliver technical solutions

Ensure mission performance analyses are valid through accurate modeling and appropriate application of constraints

Participate in integrated system test campaigns and events

Coordinate with external partners to verify interface compatibility

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field, or equivalent experience

Experience with space vehicle integration, including hardware and software interactions

Proficiency in Systems Engineering processes, including trade studies, design reviews, requirements and CONOPS development, and system verification

Knowledge of spacecraft architecture, subsystems, and components

Experience performing complex component- or system-level performance analyses

Active TS/SCI security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Desired Skills

Experience in resiliency integration functions and architecture on classified programs

Proficiency in MATLAB or equivalent tools for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling

Experience conducting complex mission-level analyses involving multiple, competing scenarios and drivers

Systems thinker with a proven record of delivering optimal, multidisciplinary solutions
