This is a joint appointment with the Department of Theatre and Dance. Appointment begins August 2026.Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music and the National Association of Schools of Theatre. The Department of Music and the Department of Theatre and Dance are highly active units of the School of Arts, Media & Communication. Construction of a new

With palm tree lined pathways throughout the campus, nearby natural wetlands, a scenic hike-and-bike trail and pristine views of the beach and bays, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is a first-choice institution.**Responsibilities**: Primary responsibilities are teaching applied voice for both music and theatre majors and leading musical theatre coaching and musical direction. Secondary responsibilities may include teaching music-focused courses in musical theater or other related classes depending upon the candidate’s strengths and departmental needs. The successful candidate will be expected to work within a team-oriented departmental culture, and to undertake other duties according to the needs of the department.**Qualifications:*** A completed MFA in musical theatre or DMA in vocal performance and/or vocal pedagogy by the time of appointment is required.* Demonstrated ability to teach applied voice, lead musical theatre coaching, and music direction is required.* Evidence of ability to be a successful teacher, scholar, performer, and congenial colleague is required.* Piano proficiency, demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining students, and experience with interdisciplinary collaboration are highly desirable.TO APPLY:All required documentation must be submitted to be considered for the position.
