This is a joint appointment with the Department of Theatre and Dance. Appointment begins August 2026.Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music and the National Association of Schools of Theatre. Secondary responsibilities may include teaching music-focused courses in musical theater or other related classes depending upon the candidate’s strengths and departmental needs. The successful candidate will be expected to work within a team-oriented departmental culture, and to undertake other duties according to the needs of the department.**Qualifications:*** A completed MFA in musical theatre or DMA in vocal performance and/or vocal pedagogy by the time of appointment is required.* Demonstrated ability to teach applied voice, lead musical theatre coaching, and music direction is required.* Evidence of ability to be a successful teacher, scholar, performer, and congenial colleague is required.* Piano proficiency, demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining students, and experience with interdisciplinary collaboration are highly desirable.TO APPLY:All required documentation must be submitted to be considered for the position.
