Realty, Nespelem, WA Responsibilities
Basic Functions: The Real Estate Services for the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation oversees acquisition, disposal, and contract/tenure real estate activities. Reporting to the Natural Resources Division Director, Real Estate Services complies with laws and policies, safeguards tribal property assets, and represents members’ interests. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required, along with expertise in real estate, tribal regulations, and a dedication to tribal cultural values. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Training: Typically requires a AA Degree from an accredited college or university in a natural resource/legal related field AND thirty-six (36) months progressively responsible management type of work experience; OR Sixty (60) months post-secondary education and paid experience in a natural resource/legal related field by demonstrating advanced office management skills, organizational responsibilities that clearly demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of this position. Must possess a valid State Driver's License and be eligible for the Tribes' Vehicle Insurance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires to have broad working knowledge of the rules and procedures of Real Estate Service Management as applied to Tenure and Management section. Requires to possess basic knowledge of legal descriptions of various types to determine precisely where the land is located, total acreage of tracts. Requires to be familiar with Tribal Government operations and Reservation/Cultural Issues and values. Requires work experience with a Federally recognized Tribes or BIA is preferred. Requires ability to access, understand, and update realty related systems; uses applicable IT resources (software – ArcGIS & Mapsifter); uses capabilities of software to perform job effectively; builds and performs queries skillfully and efficiently. Requires ability to listen and respond appropriately to others (oral, written or non-verbal input); demonstrates attention to and conveys information, ideas, facts, or messages appropriately and effectively. Requires ability to communicate and work with beneficiaries and clients to assess their needs; provide accurate information or assistance and addresses problems, knows about and provides available services with options, is committed to providing quality service, seeks to meet or exceed expectations. Requires ability to store, organize, and maintain multiple formats (including automated systems of record) or data in a usable condition; assures information is readily available; disseminates information effectively and securely. Requires ability to assure that any management of Indian trust assets considers the interest of the owner(s) and their intended use of the assets; conserves and protects trust assets. Requires ability to encourage and facilitate cooperation, trust, and group identity; fosters commitment and self-esteem; works with others to achieve common goal. Requires to have advanced interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups or individuals including the ability to resolve conflict, work as a team member, cooperate with others in performance of their duties, coordinate activities, greet and respond to the public and provide technical assistance and instructions, resolve complaints, protect confidential information, and be accountable for actions.
