Job Summary
The Digital Learning Specialist is a strategic and creative leader responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing online learning content using a variety of software that specifically includes Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise, etc.). This role leads the digital learning design function, ensuring alignment with organizational education and development goals. It requires a blend of creative design expertise, technical proficiency, and strategic leadership, making it a key contributor to the success of organizational learning and development efforts.
Job Functions
Provide vision and direction for the design, development, and lifecycle management of high‑impact, interactive e‑learning modules using Articulate and other authoring tools, ensuring alignment with organizational learning strategies.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify learning needs and translate them into scalable digital solutions.
Manage end-to-end development of e‑learning modules within the HealthStream Learning Management System (LMS).
Oversee deployment, integration, and performance of digital learning content across internal learning platforms, ensuring optimal learner engagement and accessibility.
Provide leadership and support in the deployment and use of Articulate‑based content, including training staff and troubleshooting technical issues.
Champion best practices in instructional design, accessibility, and user experience; report outcomes to leadership.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field. Required.
Master’s Degree. Preferred.
Work Experience
1–3 years, with at least 3 years of experience and proficiency in video production and photography, video editing, social media content development, social media platforms, and content management tools. Required.
1–3 years of experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS). Required.
Skills
Graphic design or multimedia editing experience.
Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Articulate 360 Suite: Storyline, Rise, Review, Replay, and Content Library.
Learning Management Systems (LMS): Experience with platforms such as HealthStream, Canvas, Blackboard, or similar.
Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Graphic and multimedia tools: Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Microsoft 365/Co‑Pilot.
Cloud collaboration tools: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or Google Workspace.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
