Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 20 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – IMC (Float Pool) Facility: Meritus Medical Center Location: 11116 Medical Campus Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21742 Duration: 20 Weeks Shift: Nights – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Schedule: Every Other Weekend (12 weekend shifts per contract) Submittal Type: Interview Required Position Overview The IMC (Intermediate Care) Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide care to a diverse patient population across Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC/Stepdown units. Nurses must demonstrate clinical competence in caring for patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions, including respiratory distress, cardiac events, and post-critical care transitions. This position requires strong assessment, monitoring, and communication skills while adapting to different unit settings. Float nurses must be comfortable managing 1:4–1:6 patient ratios and capable of floating between IMC, MS, Observation, Trauma Surgical, Stroke, Palliative, Renal, and other medical units as needed. Epic experience is strictly required.
