Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Wound Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/08/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Wound Care Location: 1350 Hickory St, Melbourne, FL 32901 Shift: Days | 5x8-Hour (08:00 – 16:30) Weekends: None On-Call: Not required Position Overview: Seeking an experienced Wound Care RN to provide expert assessment, planning, and management of patients with acute and chronic wounds across multiple hospital sites. The ideal candidate will hold WCC or WOCN certification and demonstrate strong collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team. Experience & License Requirements: Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Wound Care RN experience Certifications: BLS – Required WCC – Required WOCN – Preferred License: Active Florida RN license or compact license (no pending accepted) EPIC Experience: Required First-Time Travelers: Accepted Locals: Accepted (same rate as travelers) Role Details & Responsibilities: Provide wound and ostomy care consultation and management to inpatients and outpatients Assess, plan, and implement treatment for acute and chronic wounds, pressure injuries, and ostomy care Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and communicate findings to care teams Educate patients and staff on wound prevention and best practices Support wound rounds and provide specialized recommendations for wound healing products and dressings Floating Requirements: Primary location: Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Float as needed to 3 community hospitals to cover WOCN absences or consult surges (a few times per week) Work collaboratively with a team of: 2 Full-time WOCNs (including one Lead) 2 Part-time WOCNs 2 Per Diem WOCNs at HRMC 1 Per Diem Wound Care RN Additional Details: Scrubs: Any solid color (self-provided or hospital-issued) References: Two recent (within the last year) from manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director Flu Vaccine: Required (10/31–3/31); medical/religious exemptions only About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) , proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs .
