Job Overview Terry Marine Contracting is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee complex heavy civil construction projects across Long Island. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in sitework, drainage, and utility infrastructure who thrives on leading teams, solving problems, and delivering high-quality work on time and within budget. You’ll manage projects from bid through closeout, ensuring every phase is executed with professionalism, precision, and pride.

Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of construction projects, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, submittals, change orders, and closeout.
Coordinate with field superintendents and office staff to maintain accurate documentation, daily logs, and project reporting.
Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to drive timely, cost‑effective completion.
Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with all requirements.
Prepare and manage RFIs, change orders, and payment applications.
Maintain strong communication with clients, engineers, and inspectors throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all safety, quality, and regulatory standards are upheld.
Qualifications 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil, sitework, or utility construction.
Deep understanding of NYSDOT, USACE, or municipal specs and public project documentation.
Proficient in construction technology tools including Procore, Buildertrend, Excel, and Bluebeam.
Strong ability to read and interpret civil drawings and perform accurate takeoffs.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license required.
A background check will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable laws.
