About DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE) DDSE is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas/civil engineering, permitting and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services in the natural gas industry for many years. We currently perform these engineering services related to natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design (M&R, gate stations, and regulator stations) and customer services (residential and commercial) for a variety of natural gas customers throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team is comprised of experienced natural gas engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel as well as in-house staff expertise in the areas of legal, compliance, and safety.
The Environmental Permitting Project Manager role is a multifaceted position that will be responsible for supporting our Engineering team. We seek an experienced professional to manage projects related to regulatory and permitting functions. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven engineering environment. This individual must also be highly motivated, possess strong organizational skills and have a can-do attitude.
Environmental Permitting Project Manager Pay Range $70,000 - $100,000 annually

We seek an experienced Environmental Permitting Project Manager to help lead a variety of environmental permitting projects in NY, PA and MA. The scope of work will include utility distribution, transmission (including renewables) and land development-related projects. This individual will be responsible for leading specific environmental permitting related projects as well as supporting our Engineering and Survey teams in these areas. The role requires detailed knowledge of permit requirements for local, state, and federal permitting agencies as they relate to these types of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects, budgets and develop proposals
Utilize project data and provide analysis for multiple projects
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders and internal project staff
Perform and oversee project technical work
Process and track a variety of permitting efforts on multiple projects
Prepare and submit wetland, stream, highway, railroad permit applications and Storm Water Prevention Plans
Perform field inspections of Erosion and Sediment Control Plan implementation
Coordinate and communicate directly with permitting agencies
Skills and Experience Required
Demonstrated experience with local, state and federal environmental regulations, licensing and permitting
Experience conducting wetland delineations and mitigation design
Experience in specialty areas including natural gas utility distribution, transmission and land development
Must possess strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
Environmental/Civil Engineering degree and/or background
Minimum 5 years of environmental consulting and project management experience
Preferred
Permitting knowledge and experience in NY, PA, & MA
