Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/17/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary – Registered Nurse (RN) Shift: Day | 3x12-hour shifts Start: ASAP Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days) Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Short Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees while promoting a safe, efficient, and supportive environment for both patients and staff. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to establish individualized plans of care. Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and care goals. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in accordance with hospital policy. Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, emphasizing education and goal achievement through positive reinforcement. Initiate discharge planning on admission and ensure appropriate patient and family education. Communicate all changes in patient status to the attending physician and charge nurse to maintain continuity of care. Provide direction, supervision, and training to ancillary staff, delegating appropriately and ensuring safe, efficient workflows. Promote patient and employee safety in all areas — including safe patient handling, infection control, and fall prevention. Participate in team-building activities to support a positive and collaborative unit culture. Maintain cost-effective care delivery and report supply or equipment needs promptly. Serve as charge nurse when assigned and demonstrate leadership in clinical decision-making. Engage in ongoing professional growth through continuing education and self-study. Required Qualifications: Active RN license (state-specific) BLS certification (AHA or ARC) – required prior to first shift ACLS certification (for CIRH facility only) – required prior to first shift Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience ICU experience or demonstrated ability to perform at the LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital) level Previous Select Medical experience preferred About Nationwide Therapy Group NTG is a proud partner with healthcare professionals across the country.
