Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated
Registered Nurse (RN)
to join a 33-bed Cardiovascular/Stepdown Unit in Lawton, OK. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with conditions such as STEMI/NSTEMI, CHF, post-cardiothoracic surgery, and those requiring antiarrhythmic IV medications. Manage patients on noninvasive ventilation and monitor for peripheral vascular compromise. Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 to ensure personalized and effective care delivery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Float to Med/Surg or ER units to assist with CVCU/Med Surg holds as needed. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols. Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system (Allscripts). Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families regarding their conditions and care plans. Skills and Qualifications
Strong clinical knowledge of stepdown and telemetry nursing practices. Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and managing telemetry monitoring. Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to adapt quickly and perform effectively in high-acuity settings. Requirements
License:
Active RN License in Oklahoma or Compact State Experience:
Minimum 1 year of recent Stepdown or Telemetry RN experience (at least 6 months required) Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (preferred; applicants without may still be considered) EMR Experience:
Allscripts (preferred) Schedule Flexibility:
