Position Summary The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing production schedules to ensure the timely manufacture of high-quality medical devices that meet customer demand, regulatory requirements, and inventory targets. This role requires close collaboration with procurement, manufacturing, quality, engineering, and sales teams to maintain efficient operations in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the master production schedule based on demand forecasts, sales orders, and inventory levels. Coordinate material availability with Purchasing and Inventory Control to prevent shortages or excess inventory. Monitor production progress daily and adjust schedules as necessary to meet delivery commitments. Analyze capacity and resource constraints to identify potential bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) to ensure planning integrity. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure product availability aligns with quality release timelines and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485). Work with Engineering and Operations to integrate new product introductions (NPI) into production schedules. Track and report key performance metrics, including on-time delivery, production efficiency, and material usage variance. Support audits and documentation requirements as part of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance. Drive continuous improvement in production planning, scheduling accuracy, and communication flow across departments.

Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 35 years of production planning experience, preferably in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing industries. Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent). Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA QSR (Quality System Regulation) requirements.

Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
