Join EY as a Tax Services Analyst-EDGE and help shape the future of the global financial services industry. As part of the Financial Services Organization (FSO), you will partner with banks, wealth and asset management firms, and insurance companies to deliver high‑quality tax information reporting and compliance services.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Customer Tax Operations practice with preparation and delivery of tax information reporting (1099/1042‑S/8804), FATCA/CRS reporting, and tax withholding certificate validation (Forms W‑8/9).

Participate in day‑to‑day interactions with engagement teams, providing a quality work product and driving the delivery of services to meet deadlines.

Analyze bridged customer data and transaction information to identify potential errors and omissions, applying tax concepts to modify tax reporting coding or transaction coding for accuracy.

Manage internal and external communications, including requesting and documenting receipt of client authorizations and instructions, and coordinating with tax compliance teams and stakeholders to obtain timely, accurate production of tax information reporting.

Assist with reconciliation of customer demographic data, transaction data, and tax information returns to achieve complete, accurate and timely filing, including identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Support billing and collections for tax compliance and related services.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Timely, efficient and accurate support of information reporting in a volume‑driven, deadline‑driven environment.

Ability to balance time between multiple projects and responsibilities across engagement teams.

Understanding of tax withholding certificates (Forms W‑8/W‑9) and FATCA/CRS Self‑Certification forms, including required data for accuracy.

Knowledge of vendor and client systems that support a tax operations function.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and proprietary client collaboration tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document client authorizations and provide status updates.

Responsibility for supporting billing and collections activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.

1–2 years of experience in tax compliance or information reporting.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to learn other software.

Working knowledge of 1099/1042‑S reporting systems and tax compliance and information reporting rules.

Capacity to work independently and as part of a team on projects of varying complexity.

Organizational and communicative excellence, with ability to follow a standardized process and ask questions when needed.

Prioritization skills to achieve workflow and timely production of client deliverables.

Commit to periodic travel (5–10%).

Preferred Experience

Professional services environment background.

Proven record in information reporting and withholding tax law compliance for US federal and state returns.

Experience with tax withholding validation and certificate completion.

Familiarity with FATCA/CRS reporting templates.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to adapt work style for internal and client teams.

Proficiency in trust tax software.
