Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Bus Driver at the District Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students, staff, and other passengers to various locations while ensuring a positive and secure travel experience. This full-time position requires a commitment to punctuality, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on safety.

Responsibilities - Safely operate a school bus or transit vehicle according to established routes and schedules. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. - Maintain a clean and organized bus interior. - Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures while driving. - Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit. - Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed, especially those with disabilities. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation schedules and any issues that may arise. - Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the appropriate authorities promptly. - Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on safety protocols and transportation policies. - Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and passenger counts.

Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport. - Clean driving record with no major traffic violations. - Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role is preferred. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to manage and resolve conflicts in a professional manner. - Commitment to safety and adherence to all transportation regulations. - Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required. - Flexibility to work early mornings, late afternoons, and occasional weekends as needed. - Physical ability to assist passengers and perform job-related tasks, including lifting and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices.
