Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties: Oversee preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns Ensure accurate and timely compliance with all tax regulations Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities Conduct research on new tax legislation, M&A, and estate/trust tax matters Supervise and mentor tax professionals; review complex filings Manage IRS/state audits and represent clients in disputes Collaborate with accounting, finance, and legal teams for compliance Continuously improve internal processes for efficiency and risk reduction
You should have most of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation or CPA strongly preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably corporate tax Proven experience managing tax teams and external auditors Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations Skilled in research, analysis, and problem-solving for tax planning Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Excellent communication and leadership skills
