As the
Inventory Control Lead , you’ll play a key role in keeping our warehouse running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring our inventory is accurate, organized, and ready to meet customer needs. From leading daily cycle counts to digging into data and solving discrepancies, you’ll help build processes that keep things flowing and teams confident in the numbers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and support daily inventory control operations to maintain accurate, real-time stock levels. Oversee and perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits—helping teams stay on top of materials and finished goods. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through thoughtful analysis of transactions and system data. Keep our Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurate and reliable by ensuring clean, consistent data entry. Partner closely with warehouse, receiving, and shipping teams to keep every part of the process in sync. Identify root causes of inventory challenges and lead corrective actions to prevent future issues. Create, refine, and share standard operating procedures (SOPs) that make work easier and more consistent. Train and mentor team members on inventory accuracy and best practices. Generate and interpret reports to track accuracy, shrinkage, and continuous improvement metrics. Collaborate with merchandising, finance, and operations to ensure inventory adjustments and reconciliations are handled accurately and on time. Contribute to warehouse layout, bin location accuracy, and slotting improvements to enhance efficiency. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Three or more years of experience in warehouse or distribution center inventory control. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset—identifying discrepancies, identifying root causes, and offering potential solutions to the inbound operations leader. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as Manhattan. Advanced Excel and data reporting skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Familiarity with lean or continuous improvement processes is a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures. Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack) preferred.
