Job Description
Under general supervision, this position specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients and may perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
Responsibilities
Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations. Review clinical data on requisition and perform appropriate examinations, obtaining additional information about the patient's medical history as necessary. Prepare procedure rooms and replenish stock such as linen and related supplies regularly. Analyze anatomical structures of patients, set up equipment, and perform CT scans. Manually control the equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information. Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for possible reactions. Assist Radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies. Apply principles of radiation protection and perform imaging procedures ensuring quality delivery into PACS. Complete all study indexing in the Radiology Information System. Document in the medical record and radiology information systems to support clinical and billing functions. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Associate's degree in Applied Science in Radiology. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. ARRT (CT) certification. Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a hospital setting, particularly in a fast-paced environment. Experience with peripheral IV insertion or willingness to obtain training. Why ARMStaffing?
