ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP OR

LINE OF AUTHORITY:

Directly responsible to Building Principal and Assistant Superintendent Student Services

QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker certification preferred. Experience with elementary age students preferred. Certification in Non Violent Crisis Methodology/Safety Care beneficial. Experience with social emotional and therapeutic environments. Ability to develop and implement behavioral plans. Knowledge of crisis intervention, strong parent communication skills, ability to conduct behavioral assessments/observations, and a strong desire to work with challenging students is required. Strong Executive Functioning skills. Ability to collaborate with teachers and other service providers within the district as well as outside therapists, medical professionals, and parents. POSITION:

Licensed Social Worker - Elementary

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal(s), Assistant Superintendent of Student Services

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Case management for students, families, and outside agencies. Treatment planning that includes evidence-based data collection and analysis. In-class social pragmatic and self-regulation skill development groups for students. Individual and/or small group therapy. Consultation to teaching staff. Participation in Team meetings and outside service provider meetings as needed. In-class behavior management support as needed. Crisis intervention, as needed. QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker certification preferred. Experience with elementary age students preferred. Ability to develop and implement behavioral plans.
