About the Company

We are a growing commercial and multifamily real estate private equity firm based in Beverly Hills, focused on acquiring, managing, and repositioning high-quality assets across key U.S. markets. As a startup with a dynamic investment platform, we are looking for a hands‑on, driven Accounting Manager who will play a key role in building out our finance and accounting infrastructure — with the opportunity to grow into the Controller role as the firm scales.

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, manage property‑ and fund‑level financial reporting, and support investment analysis and decision‑making. This position will work closely with senior leadership on portfolio performance, investor reporting, and the development of internal accounting processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and monthly close for corporate and property entities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage consolidations across multiple investment entities, funds, and joint ventures.
  • Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external CPA firms.
  • Implement and refine internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting systems.
  • Support the evaluation of acquisitions and dispositions through financial modeling and analysis.
  • Review deal‑level cash flows, operating statements, and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Partner with asset management to track property performance and variance reporting.
  • Assist in preparing investor reports, fund summaries, and portfolio dashboards.

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Collaborate with leadership to build scalable accounting processes and systems (Yardi, MRI, or similar).
  • Help design reporting frameworks for future funds and managed accounts.
  • Manage vendor payments, capital calls, and investor distributions.
  • Participate in strategic planning, capital budgeting, and fund administration initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real estate private equity, investment management, or property accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, consolidations, and fund accounting principles.
  • Hands‑on experience with real estate financial systems (Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple entities and complex ownership structures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable working in a startup environment with evolving processes.
  • Bonus: Up to 20% performance‑based bonus
  • Equity/Fund Participation: Direct participation in fund upside
  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days in Beverly Hills office / 2 days remote)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, and paid time off
