Job Description:

We approach problems with creativity and innovation. The Richmond, VA office of Schnabel Engineering is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.

Job Responsibilities:

Field observation and testing during placement of construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and sprayed-on fireproofing

Soil and concrete laboratory testing

Required Skills/Experience:

High School degree

Valid Driver's License

Possess good oral, written, communication, and organizational skills

Able to perform rudimentary mathematic computations

Attentive to detail

Interest in working outdoors on construction sites

Candidates must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds on an occasional basis and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, climb ladders and work outside.

Construction experience is preferred but not required

Other Requirements:

Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history and motor vehicle record

Ability to pass a pre-employment employment drug screening

The compensation range for an Engineering Technician is between $16/hr to $22/hr. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
