Job Description
Position requires the operator to be proficient in all warehouse functions. Responsible for safe and accurate loading of outbound trailers. Must configure load, pick and load product to achieve maximum trailer utilization in a cost effective, productive manner. Ability to effectively load irregular shaped packages to maximize trailer utilization has a direct effect on daily freight costs. Truck must be loaded to achieve zero damage during transit. Decision making ability is critical. Position requires operation of hand held wireless computer terminal and/or truck mounted terminals. Need to achieve corporate on-time customer satisfaction objectives.

• Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner
ENVIRONMENT:
• Noise level requires hearing protection in designated areas
• Season high temperatures and humidity
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must be able to work safely in a fast paced, congested environment where completion of assigned tasks is time sensitive. Late completion of tasks has a direct effect on customer satisfaction and directly affects profitability through avoidance of penalty charges from carriers and customers.
• Normal work activities require the operator to move large containers holding oversized product with restricted visibility on a continuous basis with a PIV.
• Must be able to unload inbound freight and accurately locate product in the warehouse.
• Must be able to handle large and heavy products.
• Primary job responsibility is loading outbound trailers.
• May be assigned to other activities to meet customer demands which may include working in final assembly.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Lift up to 100 lbs. at waist level on an occasional basis and up to 40 lbs. at shoulder level when handling products.
• Push or pull with up to 100 lbs. of force on an occasional basis when moving products.
• Generate up to 100 lbs. of grip strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products.
• Generate up to 20 lbs. of pinch strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products.
• Display average coordination with each hand on a continuous basis while performing job tasks.
• Perform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling products.
• Stoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling products.
• Reach forward and to the side on a frequent basis when handling products.
• Stand and walk on a continuous basis during the course of each shift.
• This job requires the use of close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 10 hours per day.

• Manufacturing and Fork Truck Driver experience is preferred
