Start: August or ASAP through December 2026
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8-hour days with a 30-minute lunch
Minimum: 1 week per month coverage (flexible into 2026)
No call, no weekends
Clinical Details:
Adults only outpatient clinic plus OR endoscopy
14 to 16 patients per day in clinic
Anesthesia support: Always both an anesthesiologist and a CRNA in the procedure room
EMR: Epic
Required Procedures:
Colonoscopy
Sigmoidoscopy
Upper GI endoscopy (diagnostic, biopsy, foreign body removal, banding of varices)
ERCP not required
Advanced procedures preferred, but general GI is acceptable
Compensation and Travel:
Full malpractice coverage included
Orientation and holiday rates are available
Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
Requirements:
Board Certified in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA)
ACLS and BLS
Active Maine license preferred (open to licensing high-quality candidates)
COVID and flu vaccines required
Must be available for at least one full week per month
