Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for numbers and a passion for driving business forward? We are seeking a dynamic, talented, and experienced Business/Demand Planning Manager to join our Accounting and Finance team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise in demand planning, ERP, Excel, and CPG to help shape our company's financial future. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in crafting effective business strategies and managing complex demand planning processes.
Responsibilities:
As a Business/Demand Planning Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
Leading our demand planning process, including forecasting, inventory management, and sales and operations planning. Lead SKU level demand forecasting across sales channels and customers (in coordination with Field Sales Partners). Partner with Production Planners to support efficient and effective manufacturing and inventory strategies. Develop and update SCIMs (Sales, Consumption, Inventory Models) for key customers. Support innovation forecasting across all facets of the stage gate process, up to and including in-market product launch. Drive Revenue Growth Management (RGM) initiatives with Field Sales. Develop Demand, RGM and Trade Strategy tools and reports using available internal and in-market syndicated data Utilizing ERP systems to streamline and optimize business processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Utilizing Excel to analyze large datasets, identify trends and insights, and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. Working collaboratively with various departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to align business strategies and drive profitability. Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the CPG industry, staying abreast of trends and changes that may impact our business. Developing and implementing robust contingency plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure business continuity. Mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 5 years minimum in business planning, demand planning, sales operations, or similar roles in the consumer packaged goods industry. Strong understanding of sales execution and supply chain concepts, processes, and best practices, including demand forecasting techniques. Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel. Experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus. Familiarity with the CPG industry and its unique challenges and opportunities. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
