We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Business Immigration Paralegal to join our reputable law firm. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for business immigration law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business immigration law, specifically with EB-5 or EB-1A experience, and a proven track record in legal document preparation and case file management. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Business Immigration Paralegal, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including but not limited to:
1. Preparing and filing various types of business immigration petitions, including H-1B, L-1, E-2, EB-5 and EB-1A. 2. Managing a substantial caseload of immigration matters in various stages of processing. 3. Corresponding with clients and foreign nationals to gather information and documentation necessary for filings. 4. Drafting clear and concise written arguments and supporting documentation for filing. 5. Conducting legal research on immigration law and procedures. 6. Monitoring changes in immigration law and procedures to ensure compliance. 7. Maintaining and organizing immigration files and tracking the status of applications. 8. Assisting attorneys in the preparation for hearings and trials.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business immigration law, specifically with EB-5 or EB-1A experience. 2. A bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. 3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines. 5. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure. 6. Proficiency in legal document preparation and case file management. 7. A strong understanding of legal research methods and databases. 8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. 9. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
