Opportunity: Board Certified - Gastroenterology
Job Details: • Weekend call coverage (Saturday and Sunday, 7a-7a) due to lack of coverage • Hospital call setting with adult patient population • Perform a variety of GI procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopy • Conduct esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpretation • Perform small bowel biopsy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy • Manage liver biopsies and insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube • Conduct Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) • Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder • Manage injection and banding of varices • Perform ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) - both diagnostic and therapeutic • Handle PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) procedures • Average of 8 procedures per weekend including GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colon, EGD, ERCP • Must have active Virginia medical license • Board certification required • Flu shot required, COVID vaccine highly preferred • Clean malpractice history required for temporary privileges • 90-day estimated credentialing timeframe
Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
