The Garage Valet Attendant is a customer service position involving parking and retrieving vehicles for customers. The primary responsibility of a garage valet is to provide a positive and efficient parking experience for customers and to make a fantastic impression through every interaction by engaging with our guests and customers in a positive and friendly manner, giving them the best experience possible while providing safe and efficient service.
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 11pm-7am
Responsibilities
- Keep the safety of self and others in mind at all times.
- Park customers' vehicles in designated parking spots, ensuring they are parked safely and securely, minimizing the potential for accidents.
- Keep track of keys and vehicles throughout the garage.
- Provide exceptional guest experience.
- Maintain organization at operation.
- Be enthusiastic about the job, creating a positive environment for customers and teammates.
- Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices.
- Help facilitate transition at the end of the shift.
- Provide information about the garage, such as hours of operation, rates, or special promotions upon request.
- Always maintain a neatly groomed appearance.
- Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
- Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate safety gear and promptly reporting any hazards or incidents.
- Ability to fill out damage or accident supports.
- Years of Experience: Entry Level.
- Language Skills: Proficient in English, both verbally and written.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to smile during customer interactions.
- Possess an upbeat personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and a strong work ethic.
- Maintain uniform standards when on job premises.
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
- Ability to move quickly.
- Ability to organize cars efficiently.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test on a manual transmission vehicle.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
- Ability to create relationships with customers.
- Be organized.
- Clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE's current insurance provider.
