Human Resources Coordinator (Day Shift)

As the Human Resources Coordinator (Talent & Development Site Coordinator), your primary responsibility is to support our production team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You provide support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of Human Resources for all Team Members.

Other responsibilities include Team Member Relations, Recruitment, Health and Safety, Time and Attendance, and other administrative tasks as required. Previous experience in a human resources environment within a manufacturing plant or warehouse is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Actively work as a liaison between Manufacturing, Team Members, and Talent and Development.
  • Works closely with Manufacturing Leaders and Team Members by having an active presence (70%) on the plant floor to drive T&D programs, processes, and policies to continuously enhance working relationships, build engagement, and increase retention.
  • Assists in overseeing all agency communications and supports Site Leaders, Operations Leaders, Shift Leaders, and Team Leaders with Team Member relations.
  • Promotes the FGF culture and fosters Team Member Engagement.
  • Manages the engagement committee and prepares detailed proposals for engagement activities.
  • Communicates to agencies FGF policies, protocols, and new initiatives.
  • Reviews resumes and coordinates interviews with agencies and Operation Leaders to ensure “Key Role Candidates” (Mixers, Depositors, Oven Operators, Packaging Operators, Forklift Operators, and Sanitation) meet required skill set, availability, and attitude.
  • Ensures adherence to the Internal Job Posting Process (IJPP).
  • Works closely with Operations Leaders and T&D to determine current and upcoming staffing needs.
  • Tracks and monitors all temp agency orders; provides feedback and clarification to agencies regarding candidates interviewed.
  • Gathers feedback from agencies on an ongoing basis regarding internal requests and summarizes challenges to create an ops/agency action plan, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Works with Department Leaders and oversees all training documentation for Key Roles (Mixers, Depositors, Mach Operators).
  • In conjunction with all key stakeholders, problem-solve and troubleshoot any issues or challenges.
  • Actively participates as a Health and Safety advocate as required.
  • Oversees any Team Member payroll issues and communicates with Payroll to ensure they are resolved.
  • Manages the daily payroll approval process for production Team Members and the Time & Attendance system for hourly Team Members.
  • Conducts investigations and documents them in Navex.
  • Responsible for converting agency payroll Team members to FGF payroll.
  • Coordinates Learning and Development initiatives with support from the L&D team.
  • Sets up new Team Members in the TMC, ICIMS, and TMTM.
  • Conducts post-hire and exit interviews as needed.
  • Conducts effective performance review discussions with Team Members and Production Leaders.
  • Assists and participates in Progressive Disciplinary situations related to Team Members with the support of T&D Business Partners.
  • Assists and participates in Performance Evaluations related to Team Members and Production Leaders.
  • Assists with T&D/Operations projects as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience in Human Resources in a Manufacturing Environment or Warehouse.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation.
  • Good understanding/working knowledge of HR policies/procedures and employee relations.
  • Proven competency in operating key office software and productivity tools such as MS Office suite, working knowledge of an HRIS.
