Accounting Manager Job at Ascension Search Partners in Arlington

Ascension Search Partners has partnered with a high-growth PE-backed company seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team. This role will oversee the day-to-day operations, partner with key internal stakeholders, lead critical aspects of the month-end and quarter-end close processes, and drive improvements in accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with established accounting methods and policies.
• Monitor cash flow and manage revenue and expenditure variance analysis across departments.
• Ensure proper management and tracking of fixed assets, including depreciation and reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries to ensure correctness and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial statement audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and CPA is required.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least two years in public accounting.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and financial analysis.
