Job Summary Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars; requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
Maintain stock, prepare, cure and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained; demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secure bank.
Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keep work area clean and organized.
Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
