Up to $135,000 (+bonus incentives, +benefits)

Position Purpose This director-level position reports to the CEO. The candidate oversees general accounting and financial reporting, implements and maintains internal controls, and ensures compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP.

Responsibilities

Oversee general accounting functions, including cost accounting, cash management/forecasting, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.

Ensure policies and procedures (internal controls) protect company assets.

Prepare and monitor budgets and interface with internal functions.

Provide concise analysis of management reports to guide decisions and profitability; prepare special reports on trends.

Prepare income statements, monitor transactions, and oversee entries into accounting systems.

Maintain compliance with US GAAP, preparing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents for accurate reporting.

Support external audits and periodic review of financial records.

Manage local, state, and federal reporting and tax filings.

Improve processes to increase efficiency and accuracy of reporting.

Maintain and audit inventories (finished goods, raw materials, work in progress, tooling, fixed assets). Evaluate inventory values for accurate cost roll‑up.

Conduct cost and product costing analysis or on‑demand analysis.

Supervise and maintain accounting staff.

Maintain banking relationships.

Qualifications

3+ years in a management role.

5+ years of overall combined accounting, costing, and finance experience.

Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.

Experience in discrete manufacturing/environment preferred.

Experience in an integrated ERP environment (Plex exposure a plus).

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Experience with creating financial statements, month‑end/year‑end close process.

Aerospace experience preferred but not required.

General Requirements

Effective cross‑functional collaboration with all departments.

Ability to pass preplacement physical, drug/alcohol test, background check.
