Senior Accountant, External Reporting The Senior Accountant, External Reporting is a key role and member within the Windsor Controlling group that supports Univar’s enterprise-wide external financial statement reporting process by preparing public company‑like debt compliance documents, including Annual and Quarterly Reports. While primarily focused on external financial reporting, the role also participates in the preparation and review of financial statements and compliance materials for North American defined benefit and defined contribution employee programs and for relevant sustainability‑based external reporting. Additionally, the role supports the global consolidation close process with analysis of consolidated financial statements and related deliverables.
What You’ll Do
Support the preparation of the Annual and Quarterly Reports furnished to creditors in compliance with debt requirements.
Assist with preparation of quarterly debt compliance and lender deliverables.
Support the corporate consolidation financial close process, providing the analysis for the consolidated financial statements and working with the team to maintain effective internal controls.
Partner and provide financial deliverables required by other groups within the company including Treasury, Legal, Tax, and FP&A as needed.
Assist with technical accounting research and analysis, providing guidance to other groups within the Company and helping implement where appropriate.
Act as point of contact for the annual audit process with the external auditors.
Assist in submitting census reports, preparing and reviewing financial reports for defined benefit and defined contribution employee programs and for relevant sustainability‑based external reporting.
Perform ad‑hoc projects or other related duties as required or requested.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred.
5 years accounting experience, preferably public accounting or financial reporting experience.
Accounting and reporting (US GAAP) knowledge.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, plan, organize and meet deadlines.
Experience working with OneStream and Workiva preferred.
Where You'll Work This is a hybrid‑based role that will report out of our corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, IL.
Pay & Benefits
The salary range is $100,000 – $115,000. This role is also eligible for incentive pay.
The specific salary offered may be motivated by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
