The Proposal Engineer plays a key role in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for new equipment and supporting the organization in both deal closing and customer opportunity discussions within the Oil and Gas sector. The Proposal Engineer will develop technical solutions using Everllence application tools and processes. The Proposal Engineer will also develop commercial offerings within the pricing guidelines and commercial governance requirements of Everllence.
Key Job Responsibilities
Review and interpret customer requisitions and applicable industry standards (API, ASME, IEC, etc.) for new equipment in Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream Oil & Gas and Petrochemical applications.
Run calculations and develop Everllence turbomachinery selections using company aerodynamic, rotordynamic, and material selection tools.
Configure solutions and prepare cost requests for complete turbomachinery packages, including compressor casings, on-skid piping and wiring, baseplates, lube oil systems, seal gas systems, couplings and related scopes of supply.
Size and obtain proposals for related train equipment, manufactured by Everllence or other OEM’s, including unit control panels, gas turbines, steam turbines, motors, variable speed drives, gearboxes, variable speed hydraulic couplings, anti-surge valves, and static process equipment.
Prepare complete technical proposals, including scope of supply, P&ID’s, datasheets, performance curves.
Prepare complete commercial proposals, including value propositions, pricing, delivery, terms and conditions.
Generate the project cost-price makeup, from Everllence factory cost estimates and sub-supplier proposals.
Identify execution and technical risks, and work with subject matter experts to prepare mitigation strategies.
Assist in sales strategy development including preparation of value proposition for new equipment solution offerings.
Assist Everllence sales personnel in presenting proposals to customers.
Prepare and submit order entry documentation to the factories upon award of a project.
Represent Everllence in a professional manner to customers, major suppliers, industry experts, trade shows, etc.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering required.
Experience/Qualifications/Skills
Minimum five (5) years of industry experience as Application Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Process Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Procurement, or Commercial / Project Manager.
Strong experience with a concentration in turbomachinery or related complex engineer-to-order rotating equipment: centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines, expanders, pumps, diesel engines, or gas engines.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% globally. Regular yearly travel to our factories is expected for training & networking.
Proficiency in PC applications including SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems.
Possess a keen awareness and appreciation for internal and external stakeholders.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical and commercial specifications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage constructive conflict effectively.
Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of customer orientation. Ability to align team efforts with broader business strategies.
Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
