We’re looking for a detail‑oriented accounting professional with a passion for revenue accounting and analytics. This remote 3‑6 month contract role, with potential transition to full‑time, is client‑facing and focuses on revenue accounting, operational and analytical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies. Record, reconcile, and analyze revenue transactions, including cash payments, withdrawals, and suspensions. Apply payments, resolve unapplied cash, and reconcile bank accounts. Build and maintain cash flow forecasts to support financial planning. Monitor contracts, billing, and collections for proper accounting treatment. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to reconcile Salesforce data with financial systems. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports with actionable insights. Build and maintain revenue models for business planning and forecasting. Perform variance analysis and identify revenue trends. Support audits and month‑end/year‑end close processes. Continuously improve revenue processes, systems, and reporting. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred). 7–9 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in revenue accounting, audit, or financial analysis. Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 a plus). Hands‑on experience with Salesforce for revenue tracking and reporting (Salesforce CPQ experience preferred). Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP). Advanced Excel skills; experience with analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams. Strategic thinker with a problem‑solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
