GP/Repro Veterinarian
at Vetcor in Draper, UT. South Mountain Canine Reproduction & Pet Care is a 12‑year‑old small animal practice with a strong focus on reproduction (approximately 95% canine). We’re building our general practice line and need a skilled clinician to provide routine wellness care, surgery, and reproductive services.
Why South Mountain? Our hospital was built with reproduction in mind and now has room for expanding general practice capacity. We offer a steady workload, excellent work‑life balance, and a supportive team of two dedicated technicians per shift.
Current Facility Highlights
Three exam rooms (fourth planned by converting the doctor’s office)
Large treatment area with two treatment tables (one wet table)
One surgical suite with a single surgery table
Dedicated semen lab room with plans for expansion
Isolation room (unused for years, slated for lab/office space)
Kennels for day boarding (outside kennels may be removed for expansion)
Doctor office space with upcoming remodels for workflow improvements
Equipment
New ultrasound (arriving 2025)
Dental machine (2023), with plans for dental X‑ray if general practice expands
Digital imaging machine
Transcervical insemination capabilities
In‑house lab with Idexx equipment, Tosoh progesterone machine (2024), Abaxis iStat (2024)
Progesterone testing in house for reproductive clients
Opportunity to add equipment based on your interests and skills
The Role
Provide general practice medicine and surgery (routine wellness, internal medicine, spay/neuter, mass removals, basic soft tissue, dentals if interested)
Participate in reproduction cases (~15–20% of time): C‑sections, breeding management, timing, semen work
Limited on‑call support specific to reproduction (breeding & C‑sections only)
Supported by two dedicated technicians each shift
Help us develop and grow our GP service line
What We’re Looking For
DVM/VMD, licensed (or eligible) in Utah
Experienced veterinarian with strong GP medicine and surgery skills
Reproductive interest required (mentorship available)
Collaborative, growth‑minded doctor excited about building culture and GP services
