Key Responsibilities
Gather, organize, and input project cost data using accounting and reporting systems.
Maintain and reconcile budgets, costs, and job‑level reporting accuracy.
Assist with tracking budget‑to‑actual performance and analyzing cost variances.
Support the month‑end close process through job cost entries and accrual adjustments.
Prepare cost data summaries and documentation for internal reporting and management review.
Serve as a liaison between Accounting, Project Management, Estimating, and Payroll.
Communicate with team members to collect cost updates and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure alignment between field data, invoices, and financial records.
Provide reliable reporting and insight to support operational and leadership decisions.
Contribute to the development of new cost‑tracking reports and dashboards.
Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in cost reporting.
Support efforts to document procedures and standardize recurring workflows.
Participate in system improvement initiatives aimed at automation and data quality.
Enter and maintain project‑specific financial data with precision.
Ensure proper version control and documentation for cost reports.
Support audit and review requests by providing accurate and well‑organized information.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, filters, and data organization).
Ability to work independently while maintaining focus and consistency.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or a job cost environment.
Familiarity with general ledger principles and journal entries.
Experience with ERP or job cost systems (such as Viewpoint Vista, Sage, or similar).
Interest in process improvement, reporting, and data analysis.
