This Position reports to:

Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for the sale of ABB’s cutting‑edge robots in Germany, with a focus on mid‑sized companies and large global key accounts that are locally supported. Reporting to the Sales Manager Consumer Industries, you will use your experience and drive to build long‑term customer relationships, identify effective solutions for customer needs, and collaborate closely with the internal ABB Global Key Account Managers to ensure seamless support for multinational clients.

The work model for the role is: onsite / remote / hybrid.

This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation business area in Germany. Main stakeholders are customers in the consumer industry and intralogistics, internal sales and marketing teams, and ABB Global Key Account Managers.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Driving sales volume and margin across the Robotics portfolio

Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships through excellent service and knowledge of ABB solutions

Preparing sales plans and bids, including support and management of global key accounts on a local level in cooperation with ABB Global Key Account Managers

Providing customers with products/solutions/services in line with volume, mix, and profitability targets

Contributing to the identification and development of new market opportunities in collaboration with the Sales team

Monitoring customer and market trends in consumer industries and intralogistics to develop effective marketing activities with the Marketing team

Tracking competitor activity and ensuring appropriate response strategies

Coordinating the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, and evaluating data to ensure achievement of goals

Qualifications For The Role

Completed studies in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a similar degree; alternatively, a Technician qualification combined with professional experience, or a Business Administration degree with technical background

Several years of sales experience in robotics or industrial automation, preferably in consumer industries or intralogistics

Proficiency in managing key accounts; experience with Salesforce is an advantage

Strong ability to work in international, culturally diverse teams with a collaborative and solution‑focused approach

High level of self‑initiative and ability to work independently

Customer‑focused, structured, and action‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Willingness to travel up to 60%, mainly within the DACH region, balancing onsite and online collaboration with customers

Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
