We are looking for a hands‑on
Accounting Manager
who wants to make a real difference. This person will be the financial backbone of a company in growth mode. You will help us scale responsibly, lead with integrity, and bring clarity to the numbers that drive our success.
In this role, you will partner directly with the CFO, lead daily accounting operations, and shape systems that fuel our next stage of expansion. This position offers a clear path to Controller within 2 to 3 years.
What You’ll Do
Lead daily accounting functions including A/R, A/P, payroll, banking, and reporting
Supervise and mentor an Accounting Specialist to improve accuracy and efficiency
Manage month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis with the CFO
Partner with Operations and Project Management for accurate job costing and inventory tracking
Implement process improvements, automation, and internal controls
Collaborate across departments to maintain financial accuracy and transparency
Assist with audits, compliance, and system enhancements
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities
Strong understanding of GAAP, payroll, and job‑costing principles
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
Analytical, organized, and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
Preferred:
Experience in construction, remodeling, or project-based industries
Background in ERP transitions, payroll systems, or process improvement projects
CPA or CPA‑track preferred but not required
