Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. At Micron‑Boise, ID, we are undergoing a historic $15 billion investment in semiconductor manufacturing; construction began in early 2023, with DRAM production slated for the second half of the decade. As a leader in the semiconductor industry, we build solutions that encourage and transform technology. With plans to invest more than $150 billion globally over the next decade in groundbreaking manufacturing, we are looking for hard‑working people to join our Boise expansion team and contribute to the growth and innovation of the semiconductor industry. Process Quality Engineering (PQE) Team

The PQE team operates at the critical interface between Technology Development (TD) and High‑Volume Manufacturing (HVM – ID1) in Boise, ID, with a primary focus on fab and process contamination control. PQE defines priorities, conducts studies on the impact of Airborne Molecular Contamination (AMC) in cleanroom environments, and implements effective countermeasures to safeguard yield. The team also enables tool‑sharing protocols between Fab4 TD and Fab4 HVM, addressing contamination risks at both wafer and fab levels. In addition, PQE facilitates new material integration (NMI) in close collaboration with Process Development and Process Integration teams, supporting technology development across Planar DRAM, Advanced DRAM, and Advanced Packaging TD. Responsibilities

Develop tools to analyze contamination data across process flows, detect anomalies, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve out‑of‑control conditions. Demonstrate a continuous‑improvement approach by actively seeking opportunities to improve operations and make an immediate, significant impact. Collaborate on implementing new inspection tools and strategies to enable earlier problem detection and accurately identify root causes. Evaluate risks and establish tool‑sharing protocols between TD and HVM through close collaboration with key team members. Handle the NMI business process for TD materials, collaborating closely with Fab partners such as Process Development Engineers, Process Integration Engineers, Equipment Engineers, and Area Manufacturing Engineering teams. Conduct TD NMI risk assessments across multiple technologies (Planar DRAM, Advanced DRAM, APTD) and develop protocols aligned with tool‑sharing requirements between TD and HVM to mitigate cross‑contamination risks. Compose and implement the FOUP Environment Control (FEC) setup for the ID1 greenfield startup to ensure contamination control readiness. Represent the Boise PQE team in global alignment meetings with Micron’s Fab network and Operations Central Teams (OCT) to ensure consistency and drive best‑practice adoption. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related science/engineering field. 3–8 years in semiconductor manufacturing. Experience in Cleanroom Contamination Control protocols including AMS monitoring, AMC testing, cleanroom air supply systems, facilities systems, and analytical testing. Deep knowledge of analytical instrumentation, including strengths, limitations, and cross‑sensitivities. Familiarity with precision, accuracy, resolution, detection limits, and linearity. Solid understanding of DRAM process areas, including Dry Etch, Films, Photolithography, Wets, and CMP, and broad understanding of toolsets used across these domains. Comprehensive understanding of process contamination mechanisms and their impact on yield and product quality. Proven track record to lead multi‑functional projects and influence global teams effectively. Preferred Qualifications

Prefer HVM experience in Fab & Process Contamination Team, Process Development, or Process Integration. Benefits
