Job Summary The Department of Religious Studies invites applications for a one‑year visiting position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be a teacher‑scholar committed to undergraduate teaching excellence, with a strong emphasis on gender and sexuality in religion. A Ph.D. in Religious Studies (ABDs considered) is preferred.
Responsibilities
Teach a 3/3 course load, including introductory and upper‑level courses in Religious Studies and Central Curriculum offerings in Ethics and Diversity.
Contribute to the Women and Gender Studies program, with a specialization in gender and sexuality in religion strongly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Religious Studies (ABD considered; Ph.D. required by time of appointment).
Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching and commitment to the liberal arts.
Active research agenda with potential for scholarly productivity.
