Job Summary:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, focusing on VMware virtualization, Cisco UCS servers, Cisco Nexus networking, and enterprise storage solutions. The role involves ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and security across all infrastructure systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain VMware virtualization environments (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi).
Administer and support Cisco UCS server infrastructure including Fabric Interconnects, service profiles, and firmware upgrades.
Configure and manage Cisco Nexus switches for data center networking and ensure network reliability and redundancy.
Manage enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS), including provisioning, performance tuning, and data protection.
Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and resource utilization.
Perform regular system backups, patching, and disaster recovery planning/testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with corporate standards.
Collaborate with application, network, and security teams to support business operations and new projects.
Prepare technical documentation, topology diagrams, and operational procedures.
