Staff Nurse - Post Partum

Scope of Position The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed toward achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization. The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost‑effective care.
Position Summary The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or an ACEN (Commission for Nursing Education) accredited nursing program.
Current Ohio RN license or interim permit.
2 years of experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
Maintains current Ohio RN license and meets mandatory educational and health requirements.
Demonstrates ongoing commitment to professional practice and patient safety.
Additional Information Computer skills required to meet job functions.

Scheduled Hours 36 hours per week
Shift Third Shift
Benefits Schedule: 36 hours per week on a Third Shift schedule.
Screening Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
